| What's Happening In SEGULA |
In response to many requests from out of state
communities, SEGULA/JECC held an Inclusion Conference on February 4.
Representatives from Cincinnati, Columbus, and Pittsburgh participated in an
all day workshop on inclusion in Jewish Day Schools. Presentations were made by
SEGULA's Secular Educational Coordinator, Cathy Bloomfeld; Instructional Aide,
Robin Collins; Hebrew Academy Yavne High School Math teacher, Maureen Olden,
and Board President, Zahava Neuman. Judy Fant, SEGULA Program Coordinator,
moderated the Program. Mrs. Fant also accompanied the group to an on site visit
to two classrooms. Participants responded that they gained valuable
information, which they hoped to take back to their community. Hopefully they
will be able to expand their programs using the SEGULA model. We hope to
conduct many more informative workshops in the future. Please contact the JECC
office at 216.371.0446 and ask for Judy Fant if you are interested in attending
one of these seminars. |
